Laguna Book Club – January Title
NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN by Cormac McCarthy
We will be meeting on January 21st, 2009, at the Laguna Public Library from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. A few copies of the book are available at the library for check-out. The book club is a way to share thoughts and opinions of a variety of books with members of the community, recommend new titles, and enjoy the pleasure of reading. Free Magazines and Books Available
The library has magazines and books available for the community to take. We are currently weeding materials to make room for new materials. Weeding of materials is an evaluation of library materials and resources to determine what items to remove that are no longer useful in a collection. Evaluation includes condition of the book, age, frequency of use, multiple copies, and currency/accuracy. Donations of books, audio books, and DVDs are always welcomed.

Upcoming Programs
Every Child Ready to Read Workshops for Parents and Caregivers of Pre-School children will be available to the community in February and March at the Laguna Public Library. Dates will be posted in late January.

We will be hosting story time and activities at the library throughout the day.
