July 9th – (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm) Chalk Art and Paper Quilt
July 10th – (2:00 pm) Movie Day (The Tale of Despereaux)
Week 2: Dance and Music
July 13th – (11:00 am) Pre-School Story time
July 14th – (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm) – Make a Wind Chime
July 15th – (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm) Gaming Day – Play Dance, Dance Revolution
July 16th – (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm) Dance Workshop – Tahitian Dance and Culture **All ages
July 17th – (2:00 pm) Movie Day (Lilo and Stitch)
Week 3: Art
July 20th – (11:00 am) Pre-School Story time
July 21st – (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm) – Create Aboriginal Art from Australia
July 22nd – (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm) Gaming Day – Play Guitar Hero and DDR
July 23rd – (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm) – Art Styles of Famous Artists
July 24th – (2:00 pm) Movie Day (Madagascar 2)
End of the Summer Reading Program Celebration – July 31st (2:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
Enter the EDIBLE BOOK CONTEST!! Be creative and submit an entry! For ideas from all over the country, look online KEYWORD: Edible Book Contest. Sign up at the Laguna Public Library.
Rules:
- Limit one entry per person or group.
- Entry must be book related.
- Entry can be made out of anything as long as it is edible.
- Entry must be family friendly.
- Entries are due by 12:00 pm, Friday, July 31st, 2009 at the Laguna Public Library
- No Registration fee!
- Prizes will be given out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

2nd Annual Fun Run
The 2nd Annual Summer Reading Program Fun Run/Walk was held Saturday, June 6th at the Laguna Public Library. The turnout was great this year, 35 adults and children, participated.
Door prizes were given out along with books donated from the Association of Library Services for Children (ALSC) and the University of New Mexico Press.
Thanks to everyone who participated and helped kick off the Summer Reading Program! The 3rd Annual Summer Reading Program Fun/Run Walk will be on Saturday, June 5th, 2010 at the Laguna Public Library. See you then!
