Bond “B” is for NM Libraries! Vote November 6th!

General Obligation Bond B

Libraries make a difference! More than ever, they need your support!

On November 6th, 2012 voters will decide on state General Obligation Bond B, which, if approved will provide $9.7 million dollars for all publicly-funded libraries in New Mexico to purchase books, media, software, equipment, and other resources.  This will better equip local public, tribal, school, college and university libraries to meet the expanding informational demand of their users. Our libraries are places where you can read, write, study, research, learn, compute, and be entertained!

The Laguna Public Library used past GO Bond funding to purchase new materials (books, DVDs, audio books), new computers, new automation system, an outside book drop, new computer desks, and new furniture. Tribal libraries will receive $700,000 to use in addition to using funds for planning, design and construction of library facilities.  Come and visit the library to see how GO Bond funding has helped us expand library services.
